This LuxSutures® LuxPTFE Dental Monofilament Non-Absorbable Surgical Suture, product code PT40DS19, is designed for secure oral soft tissue closure where enhanced needle penetration and increased tensile support are required. Manufactured from high-purity polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) monofilament, LuxPTFE delivers ultra-smooth tissue passage, minimal tissue reaction and dependable long-term tensile strength retention.

The USP 4-0 size provides greater tensile performance compared with finer gauges, making it suitable for implant placement, ridge augmentation, sinus lift procedures and periodontal flap stabilisation where stronger tissue support is needed. The 60 cm white strand ensures excellent visibility and controlled knot placement within the surgical field.

PT40DS19 is supplied single-armed with one DS19 reverse cutting needle measuring approximately 19 mm with a 3/8 circle curvature. The reverse cutting configuration enhances penetration through keratinised gingiva and denser oral tissue while reducing the risk of tissue cut-through and supporting precise wound edge alignment.
