We recognise our responsibility to take a robust approach to slavery and human trafficking and are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all business relationships.
2. Our Business
Medical Sutures operates as a business-to-business supplier of medical sutures and related medical products to professional and institutional customers within the UK.
We do not manufacture medical products ourselves. Instead, we source products from established manufacturers and suppliers that operate within regulated medical and pharmaceutical supply chains.
3. Our Supply Chains
Our supply chains may include:
Medical device manufacturers
Pharmaceutical and medical distributors
Logistics and courier partners
The majority of our suppliers operate within the UK, Europe and other regions subject to regulatory oversight.
4. Policies & Governance
We have appropriate policies and procedures in place to support our commitment to ethical trading, including:
Supplier selection processes
Contractual expectations around legal and ethical compliance
A zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking
Where appropriate, we expect suppliers to comply with applicable laws and regulations relating to employment practices and human rights.
5. Due Diligence & Risk Assessment
We assess the risk of modern slavery within our supply chain by:
Working with reputable manufacturers and distributors
Monitoring supplier relationships
Reviewing supplier compliance where appropriate
Given the nature of our business and supply chain, we consider the risk of modern slavery to be low, but we remain vigilant.
6. Training & Awareness
We ensure that relevant staff are aware of the risks of modern slavery and understand how to identify potential issues within supply chains or business operations.
7. Reporting Concerns
Any concerns relating to modern slavery or human trafficking within our business or supply chain can be raised through our management team. We are committed to investigating concerns and taking appropriate action.
